P8274: TOT Training on "Menstrual Health and Hygiene - Puberty and Sexual Education"
Project: "Improved of Health Conditions and Educational Opportunities at Schools in Northern Cambodia through Education on Puberty and Sexuality."
From January 13 to 15, 2026, RainWater Cambodia, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Education, Youth, and Sport, organized a Training of Trainers (TOT) on “Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHM), Puberty, and Sexual Education.” The program aims to promote the well-being and rights of adolescent girls in schools.
Anyway, this training was funded by Engagement Global with support from the BMZ via KHA, and was technically facilitated by the Department of School Health of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport with a total of 22 participants (9 females) attended the session, including Deputy District Governors, Officer of the School Health Office of the Provincial Department of Education, officers from the District Offices of Education, Youth, and Sport within the target districts of Preah Vihear province, and project staff from RainWater Cambodia.
Moreover, key objective of this session is to promote Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in schools with a focus on adolescent girls—ensuring it is non-discriminatory, safe, and confidential—while emphasizing environmental sustainability and supporting the reproductive health, sexual health, and fundamental rights of young girls.
In addition, On the afternoon of January 15, 2026, Ms. Kim Kunthearin, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education, Youth, and Sport of Preah Vihear, presided over the closing ceremony and presented certificates to the trainees.
Especially, During the event, she also expressed her gratitude to the development partners and urged all trainers to effectively apply and disseminate the knowledge gained within their target districts. This effort ensures that all young girls receive full support regarding their rights and reproductive health.
